Angela first grew to love ceramics in high school, where she even volunteered in a summer program to help teach other students how to work with clay. After high school, she pursued the field of cake decorating, and attended Johnson and Wales for Baking and Pastry Arts. Graduating in 2013, she worked as a custom cake decorator in Providence, RI. In 2022, her love of ceramics was rekindled after taking a hand-building class, and by 2023 she had moved to North Carolina and has a small studio in Durham, NC. Her years spent on cake decorating give her a unique approach to her ceramics, where she often incorporates cake decorating techniques such as using slip in a piping bag to apply patterns and designs.
